Slow pre-diabetes and manage type 2 diabetes

In Australia, around 1 million people have type 2 diabetes, and an estimated 2 million people have pre-diabetes.

If you’re overweight or obese, losing weight is one of the key ways to slow pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes from progressing. And you don’t need to lose a huge amount to see the positive effects either; research shows that losing just 5 percent of your body weight has benefits to your health.

This is where the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet comes in.

The Pre-diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes Program is a diabetes-friendly weight loss plan that has been created and tested by Australia’s national science agency, the CSIRO.

The program includes a balanced amount of low GI carbohydrates that won’t cause a spike in your blood sugar, which means as a diabetic, you can keep carbs in your diet! The diet also includes plenty of veggies, fruit, lean protein, reduced-fat dairy and healthy fats.

By becoming a member of our program, you can improve your eating habits, lose weight, improve your blood glucose and control your hunger.
