The more your heart pumps and the narrower your arteries, the higher your blood pressure. High blood pressure means the force of blood flowing through your blood vessels is too high.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No, you do not need a referral from your doctor to join the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet.

Do I still need to see my doctor?

Weight loss can impact the amount of medication you need. We recommend keeping in contact with your doctor and scheduling an appointment and getting your blood pressure tested after 12 weeks.
