  • Ricotta cheese, reduced-fat, 0.25 cup(s) (63g)
  • Cottage cheese, low-fat, 0.33 cup(s) (83g)
  • Burgen bread, any type, 1 slice(s) (42g)
  • Strawberries, 1 cup(s) whole, sliced (152g)
  • Slivered almonds, 2.5 teaspoon(s) (7g)
  • Latte, low-fat milk, 1 large takeaway cup(s) (400ml)

Method

To make 'cream,' mix ricotta and cottage cheese together in a small bowl.

Toast bread and spread with ricotta mix. Top with strawberries and sprinkle with almonds.

Follow with a latte or save for a mid morning snack.

Instead of a latte, you can blend half the strawberries, almonds and 1 cup of reduced fat milk to make a smoothie to have alongside your toast.

TIP: You can defrost frozen strawberry slices or substitute strawberries for any other fresh or frozen fruit such as bluberries, apple or pear. Try with a drizzle of honey if you have indulgences to spare for the day.
