How it works
1. Join via the 7 day FREE trial today*
When you join the Hunter Health CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet Solution, you will be provided access for up to 7 days of the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet while Hunter Health is assessing your product eligibility to access the program fully covered.
2. Download our GP Referal Form
Once you join, you'll be sent an email with a GP Referral Form to download.
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Download the form
- Fill it out
- Have your GP to sign it
- and send it to [email protected]
Once this step is complete, we can begin assessing your eligibility for the program.

3. Enjoy while your eligibility is assessed
After you've submitted your GP referral, enjoy browsing through the program and all it's value-packed features.
4. Eligibility outcome
If Hunter Health Insurance confirms your eligibility for the program, your membership will:
- Extend to the full 12 weeks
- Be credited with 2 health coaching sessions
- And a CSIRO Complete Recipe Cookbook will be dispatched to your address
If it turns out you are not eligible for the program, you will be sent an email notifying you that your membership will shortly expire. You will also be sent other membership options available to you under your Hunter Health Benefits Limit.
*Important information about the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet Hunter Health Insurance Offer
To be eligible for the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet Hunter Health Insurance Offer you must:
- Be 18 years or over
- Eligible extras product - Hunter (as per table below).
- Relevant waiting period(s) served (12 months).
- Up to available Benefit Limit (as per table above and subject to any applicable Combined limits).
- Must be on the recommendation of a medical practitioner and/or recognised registered health professional – referral on letterhead sufficient.
Please note: the Refund Offer is not available with any Hunter Health Insurance Offer.
When you join the Hunter Health Insurace 7 day free trial option, you will be provided access for up to 7 days of the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet while Hunter Health assesses your product eligibility to access the program fully covered.
Once eligibility is confirmed a copy of the CSIRO Complete Recipe Collection cookbook will be added to your membership and you will get access to the Health Coaching Session booking feature to book your 2x health coaching sessions. This may take up to 14 working days.
If it is determined that you are not eligible for the fully covered Hunter Health Insurance offer you will be notified via email and your access to the online program will be removed. You will then be directed to other options to sign up to the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet, where you can pay upfront, and then rebate a portion of the cost back through your Hunter Health Cover.
