Members must hold an eligible TUH and UH Policy to access the services as per CDMP eligibility policy with relevant waiting periods served.
Clinical Eligibility Criteria:
- aged 18 or over;
- With a BMI of 28 AND high risk factors for developing chronic disease, such as;
- Lifestyle risk factors (including, but not limited to, poor nutrition, physical inactivity, smoking or alcohol misuse); and
- Biomedical risk factors (at least one of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, impaired glucose metabolism or excess weight); and
- Family history of chronic disease
- OR has a BMI of 25 or over AND been diagnosed with the following chronic disease(s):
- Cardiovascular disease
- Osteoarthritis
- Back problems/ joint pain
- Obesity
- Type 2 Diabetes
- or Obstructive Sleep Apnoea

Health fund rebates terms and conditions
Please note that TUH require the appropriate recommendation and necessary forms to be filled out prior to purchasing the program and benefits are subject to previous claims paid under this benefit category.
CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet refund offer & rebates
CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet members who are eligible for a rebate from their health insurer are not eligible for the program refund offer which refunds membership fees at the end of the 12 Week Program.
If you are eligible for a rebate through your health insurer, you will receive an invoice from us at the end of your program that you can pass on to your insurer. If you are claiming through a health fund, you do not need to meet the regular refund criteria that apply to other members. Conditions vary between health insurers, so please check with your fund for details.
