The CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet uses a unique food groups system to restrict kilojoules (which is essential for weight loss) while ensuring you get the right mix of nutrients for wellbeing.
There is no calorie counting or kilojoule counting on CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet. Instead, we focus on everyday whole foods and provide a simple, flexible meal plan that will become a way of life.
In this video, Professor Manny Noakes of the CSIRO explains how food groups differentiate Total Wellbeing Diet from other diets.
You don't have to give up your favourites
Indulgences are one of the best-loved food groups of the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet. You are permitted 1 daily Indulgence such as a small portion of chocolate, chips or wine.
For maximum flexibility, you can save your Indulgences for special events or something fun on the weekend.
In this video, Professor Jennie Brand-Miller of the Glycemic Index Foundation explains why Indulgences are so important for sticking with the 12 Week Program.
