Place oats and bran flakes in a bowl. Pour over the milk. Combine the pear, nutmeg and half the yoghurt. Stir into the oat mixture. Cover and place in the fridge overnight to soak.
For the maple nut mix, combine the walnuts, seeds and maple syrup in a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring 2-3 minutes until thick and caramelised. Spoon onto a tray lined with baking paper, set aside to cool. Break into small pieces.
When ready to eat, divide oat mixture between 4 bowls. Top each bowl with remaining yoghurt, berries and maple nut mix. Sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg if desired.
TIP: Bircher muesli and maple nut mix will keep for 5 days. Place oat mixture into an airtight container and store in the fridge. Add remaining ingredients when ready to eat. For the nut mix, wrap in baking paper and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
